Series 2 came with a bang. With 200 riders taking part and the upcoming ACC/C1 race in Malaysia, this race was meant to be the selection race to represent Malaysia.
This event was organised with the ACC/C1 race in April in mind. New method and preparation was put in place to ensure we are ready for the main race in April.

The first series of the planned 5 series for BMX SportExcel started of with some exciting races. Over 200 riders ranging from 5 years old to Masters participants participated in this event. There is also international participants with riders from Singapore joining in to experience our very own Nilai world class BMX track.
On Saturday 23 Feb, participant registration started early in the morning where riders were given their entitlements that includes race plate, side number and event t-shirt. Once the officials confirmed the registration, participants were free to join in to the practice session throughout the days to familiarize with the race track. Even though it is just practice session, race official were stationed along the start hill and track to ensure safety and smooth practice for all. The day schedule continued on with the team manager/participants meeting with the event officials.
The 2019 series offered 19 different categories for young and experience riders, ranging from 5-6 years old category all the way to Masters categories. There are also the Old School bike categories. The race provides the avenue for riders to sharpen their skills while allowing the official from MNCF to identify talents that could one day represent the country.
With 19 categories and over 200 participants, there were over 30 commissaires during race day to ensure smooth flowing of the race. Safety is of utmost priority to this event and with the guidance of Malaysia’s very own UCI International Commissaires, the race kicked off with the MOTO rounds in the early morning. With over 100 starts, the organizer ensured that all aspect of the race was being monitored closely.

Malaysia will be hosting the ACC BMX 2019 race on 12 & 13 April 2019 at the National Velodrome BMX track in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan.
This will be an exciting race with elite riders from the continent competing for the honor of the best BMX rider in the region.
